Created from thousands of individual images taken of the Sun by @NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory - this time lapse video shows our star from November 14-19 The Sun looks a little different in this video compared to what we are used to seeing. This is because SDO sees the Sun in extreme ultraviolet . The one in this video is known as 211 Angstrom - a wavelength of light that shows hotter, magnetically active regions in the sun's corona and are typically colorized in purple.
